Jumbo White Coturnix Quail Live Birds

There is just something about a good white Coturnix quail that catches your eye.

The Jumbo White Coturnix has a clean, simple appearance that really lets the size and shape of the bird stand out. Most are primarily white, although you may see an occasional dark marking here and there. No two birds are always exactly alike, and I think that is part of what makes raising them enjoyable.

I have always appreciated Coturnix quail for being practical birds. They don't take up much room, they mature quickly, and they can provide both eggs and meat. With my Jumbo Whites, I am working toward birds that don't just look good but also have the size, health, temperament, fertility, and genetics I want to keep moving forward.

These are not little ornamental birds. I like a Coturnix with some substance to it, and that is one of the main reasons I enjoy working with the jumbo lines.

Because white Coturnix don't have the chest feather patterns used to identify males and females in some other varieties, they will generally need to be vent sexed once they are mature.

If you like a clean-looking bird, appreciate a good-sized Coturnix, and want something useful without a lot of fuss, the Jumbo White is a good bird to have around.
